Terms and Conditions

To Make a Booking

Please advise the following when making a booking request:
  • Full names and ages of guests
  • Method of arrival and departure to Arkaba
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • Any special dietary requirements or food allergies
  • Any medical conditions
  • To confirm a reservation a 20% deposit (AU$430) per person is required within 7 days of making the booking.  The deposit is payable to Wild Bush Walks Pty Ltd.
Payment of your deposit will constitute acceptance by you of these terms and conditions.  We will invoice you for the remainder of the cost, which must be paid, along with any other surcharges, no later than 30 days prior to arrival.  If you do not pay the balance by the due date your booking is subject to cancellation and the deposit is forfeited. If you book less than 30 days before arrival, full payment must be made on the booking within 48 hours.
Acceptance of your booking will be confirmed in writing to you and a contract comes into existence on the date shown on that letter or email.  The booking conditions are binding when your reservation is confirmed in writing to you.

2018 Season

The Arkaba Walk runs from 22 March to 12 October 2018 with departures every Thursday (and every Sunday during April, May, August, September and October). Walks operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 guests.

MasterCard, Visa and American Express cards are accepted.  An administration fee of 1.2% will be levied on MasterCard and Visa and American Express payments.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees apply.  Notification of cancellation must be made to The Arkaba Walk by letter or email.  The date when written confirmation of cancellation is received by The Arkaba Walk will determine the charges applicable.

Depending on your reason for cancellation, these charges may be recovered under your travel insurance policy.
No refunds will be made if you leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun.


On all Arkaba Walk packages, the rate includes two nights deluxe swag accommodation, under the stars with eco-friendly, communal shower and toilet facilities at each swag camp, all meals, beverages (beer, wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee & water) National Park entry fees, services of walking guide and assistant, 1 night at the beautifully restored 1850's Arkaba Homestead. You will be provided with a 30L day pack with 2.5L camel back for water fitted inside and a support vehicle will transfer camp items, swags, food, bedding, luggage etc.  

On an Arkaba Walk ex Adelaide, the rate also includes a one way private charter flight from Adelaide to Hawker, followed by a road transfer onwards to Wilpena Pound. At the end of the walk, a scenic road transfer with lunch and wine tasting in the Clare Valley is also included with a drop off to Adelaide Airport or CBD Hotle. 


Scheduled domestic and international flights, comprehensive travel insurance, items of a personal nature, pre/post walk accommodation.

Force Majeure

'Force Majeure' means (without restriction) any event, which The Arkaba Walk could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid.  Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control.  In the case of Force Majeure the Arkaba Walk will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.


Unforeseen circumstances may result in you having to change your plans or even cancel at the last moment.  To protect non-refundable deposits and payments we strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This is available from travel agents, some health care and credit card companies, and via various websites.    
We STRONGLY recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance including a cancellation policy and emergency medical care. Please be sure to consider such things as pre-existing medical conditions, valuable items and that the policy is right for you. 

Third Party Arrangements

If you have booked some of your flights directly with the airline or travel agency, please be sure to advise us of any flight changes (timings, numbers etc.) and please be sure to check that your final itinerary has the details correctly noted. Wild Bush Luxury and Arkaba will not be responsible for transfers, accommodation, tour planning or for any travel arrangements that are effected by flights not booked and ticketed by our office. Wild Bush Luxury and Arkaba do not take responsibility for any third party services which are delayed due to resons beyond our control.
